The P-B-2 filter is specifically rated to defend against inorganic gases and vapors, which include:
Hydrocyanic acid and hydrogen chloride
Phosgene and diphosgene
Arsine and phosphine
Chloropicrin and methyl bromide
Specific blister and nerve agents like Lewisite and mustard gas [1]
Usage and Safety Rules
Oxygen Deficiency: Never use this filter in environments with less than 19.5% oxygen.
Carbon Monoxide: It does not protect against carbon monoxide.
Replacement: Discard and replace the canister immediately if you begin to detect chemical odors, tastes, or increased breathing resistance through the mask. [1]
